Sitting back, as dusk settles over Brisbane Waters, sipping on a delectable shiraz while watching the fire and listening to the blues as the performer breaks into a recognisable tune. Your only distraction, a rumbling belly and the thought of what you’ll eat for dinner…but there’s not rush, this is Central Coast Leagues, where you can stay for a while and enjoy every minute.
Central Coast Leagues has undergone some noticeable changes over the past few months. Most obvious being the internal renovations presenting a stylish, comfortable and contemporary Club with different areas for different experiences. From the colours scheme to the tasty new coffee in Archie’s Café; to the sports bar with 82” TVs and fresh tank beer; to the warm fireplace and lounge area where we feature live music every Friday and Saturday evening. Every detail has been considered to deliver a fresh, new, modern venue on the coast.
The Club has always been a friendly Club and the “where friends meet” approach has stood us in good stead for many years. But we are much more than that. For the Club, it isn’t just about the appearance it is also about the experience. With the customer in mind, they’ve conducted substantial customer research resulting in more offerings and increased staff training to improve the customer journey while visiting. This includes everything from the entertainment provided to the service throughout the Club’s many bars and restaurants and the product range now on offer.
In speaking with Peter Blacker, CEO of CCLC, we asked him to share his personal vision for the future of the Club, “The Club aspires to be recognised as the “Heart of the Coast” and in particular, Gosford. We have adopted this mantra, not just because of our size and proximity to the city, but because of who we are and what we represent.” In
further explanation, Peter went on to say, “As the Heart of the Central Coast, whether you are a local, a visitor or a business, we promise to provide you with a safe, friendly and exciting environment. We look forward to welcoming you, with the same high-level of service, over and over again.”
Central Coast Leagues Club was formed in 1954 and throughout its 63 years the Club has become almost an institution. A recognised landmark and meeting place for the community of Gosford and those who visit the Coast. While they are proud of their placement within the community and the support they offer those residing in it, the Club is striving to do more. With increased community engagement and support of their internal Clubs and Club Grants, Central Coast Leagues promise to continue to be the cornerstone of Gosford and the Central Coast.
But, what about the members? Peter announces, “We have also improved our offering to Members, with all members now receiving enhanced rewards and benefits of Membership, including 15% off at Archie’s Brasserie & Café and Club bars. From day one of joining Members will receive discounts on our product offering, and that’s just one way we’re giving back to our loyal Members.”
CCLC is about to embark on its next chapter as it moves into its 64th year. The environment, the offering and the overall ambiance of the Club is something to be experienced. There is a shift in the air, and we like it!
